The South Downs are England’s most densely populated National Park. This project is an attempt to describe a landscape through people whose lives are connected with it.
Portraits of people whose lives are connected with the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames. The initial collection was shown in an exhibition at Orleans House Gallery, Twickenham in 2001/02, marking the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Richmond. A second series of portraits was on display in the same place in 2012/13.
Portraits of painters and sculptors in their studios. The project resulted in exhibitions in 2013, at Leighton House Museum London and in 2015, at Gainsborough’s House in Sudbury, Suffolk.
